Church textiles
Traditionally, crafts are practiced in monastic life, because they not only provide a living for the monastery, but also help the monasteries to preserve their own cultural heritage and serve the church through them. Crafts are also a great way to maintain a spiritual atmosphere of prayer while working.
The main craft of the Reomäe Monastery is the making of church textiles. You can order from the nuns:
Unfortunately, the monastery cannot currently produce embroidered or woven church textiles.
Each sewing product is priced separately, as the price is affected by, for example, the complexity of the work and the materials used. Please contact Sister Porfyria (nunn.porfyria@mail.ee). Sewing products can be picked up from Reomäe or delivered by mail, including abroad.
